Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Telemetry position requiring med-surg telemetry experience and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Orthopedic Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- 23-bed unit staffed with CNC, RNs, PCTs, and a Unit Secretary
- Patient ratio of 5:1
- Post-operative care for total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological patients
- Uses telemetry, lift equipment, cryotherapy, SCDs, and bedside pulse-oximeters
- Meditech EMR used
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Floating to Surgical Telemetry required
- On-call required during low census periods
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent med-surg telemetry experience required
- Telemetry competency required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide post-operative and telemetry nursing care to orthopedic and surgical patients
- Team includes CNC, RNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary support
- Navy scrub attire required
- Best fit for team-oriented, communicative candidates with a positive attitude
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
