Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center requiring 3+ years of critical care experience and ACLS/BLS certification.
Details
- Medical ICU with 30 beds in a Level 1 trauma center
- Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
- Utilizes ventilators and drips
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
- Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing in a high-pressure, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
