Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift Medical ICU position requiring 3 years of critical care experience and Level 1 trauma center background.

Details

• Medical ICU unit with 30 beds
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Fast-paced unit utilizing ventilators and dialysis catheters
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA state or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with ventilators and dialysis catheters required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
• Background in high-volume hospitals managing complex and severe cases required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
