Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery PP position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit with 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit
- Care for patients before, during, and after childbirth, including high-risk and postpartum populations
- 1st shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend shifts required as needed
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications required
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though 3-4 years of nursing experience highly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and computer systems skills required
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
Additional Information
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and care coordination
- Deliver individualized, patient- and family-centered education and treatment planning
- Delegate and oversee care activities performed by other team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measure tracking
- Promote a healing, patient-centered environment through evidence-based nursing practice
