Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 12-hour night shift role at a critical access hospital, requiring NICU experience within the last year and current Epic experience.
Details
- 25-bed critical access hospital setting
- Respiratory Therapy Department covering patients across ICU and ED floors
- Patient population spans all age groups, 0-100+, with a preference for newborn and other pediatric experience
- RT manages all ventilators on the unit
- Epic used for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
- 12-hour night shift schedule, typically 36+ hours per week
- Weekend work required, at least every other weekend
- Floating required to M/S, ED, and Birthing Center units as needed
- No call requirements
- Holiday coverage required, including 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Requirements
- RRT or CRT certification required (or eligible to sit for NBRC written exam)
- License required if applicable
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in specialty required
- NICU experience within the last year required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Detailed documentation of all specialties worked required for consideration
Additional Information
- Trauma Level 3 facility
- Non-teaching hospital
- No block schedules permitted
- Scrubs required with no color preference; closed-toe, comfortable shoes required
- Professional grooming and good hygiene expected
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit access
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius-based pay rate available for candidates living 50-100 miles from the facility
