Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Behavioral Health unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and expertise in cognitive testing.

Details

  • Inpatient acute behavioral health crisis center setting with 8 beds
  • M-F day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (7a-3p or 8a-4p), no weekends or call
  • No floating required
  • EPIC EMR used for charting
  • 7-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active OTR/L license in state of practice required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Experience in a behavioral health therapy setting required
  • Experience administering SLUMS, MoCA, and CPT cognitive testing required
  • Active BLS certification through AHA required
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Strong active listening, communication, and group therapy facilitation skills required

Additional Information

  • Lead at least 2 structured therapy groups daily and conduct 1:1 sessions as needed
  • Perform cognitive testing (MoCA, SLUMS, CPT) as ordered
  • One week of orientation provided with lead therapist
  • Dress code includes pewter scrubs or business casual attire
  • Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility considered at a reduced pay rate
