Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 trauma hospital requiring prior circulator and travel experience.

Details

• Work in the OR Float Pool of a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR unit serving inpatient and outpatient cases, plus 5 procedural rooms
• Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro, and pediatric service lines
• Adult patient population only
• May float between OR units but not between facility locations
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 11a-11p, with variable scheduling based on unit needs
• No block schedule offered
• Late stay required, up to four occurrences within a 13-week period
• 26-week assignment only, shorter durations will not be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
• Prior circulator experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays with limited time off approved during the contract
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate under the 75-mile radius rule
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
