Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years OR circulating experience and prior travel nurse experience in a Level 1 trauma facility.
Details
- OR Float Pool position within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
- Certified 56-bed OR unit covering inpatient and outpatient cases, plus 5 procedural rooms
- Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases
- All service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro
- Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
- 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, 11a-11p, with varying days based on unit need
- Late stay coverage required, expected up to four times during a 13-week period
- May float between OR units but not between facility locations
- 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required, must be on file at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room circulating experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Circulate in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma OR handling a broad range of surgical specialties
- Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays with limited time off approved during the contract
- Orientation is limited to specific dates: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, or 10/26
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate under a 75-mile radius rule
