Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN with required PCVICU experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
- Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required for BLS and ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum 18 months of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients across a wide age range and acuity spectrum
- US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
