Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of recent cath lab experience for a 13-week assignment supporting cardiac catheterization procedures.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Adult patient population for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• 3x12 or 4x10 day shifts considered (3x12: 06:30-19:00; 4x10: 07:00-17:30)
• On-call required, approximately 8 weeknights and 4 weekend 24-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekend shifts required, inclusive of pre-scheduled on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled and as part of on-call rotation
• Floating required within specialty/department scope as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification accepted
• License required if applicable
• Skills in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization
• Experience with PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, IABP placement/removal, and cardiac stent placement
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac implant closure devices
• Ability to scrub, maintain sterile field, and serve as room circulator
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, and room circulation during procedures
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Facility maintains a 50-mile radius rule for standard travel rate eligibility unless locally accepted
• Returning travelers must have at least 6 months away from the system before returning
• Former staff must be separated from the health system for 12 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests limited to a maximum of 7 days and must be submitted at time of offer
• Holiday time off limited to 1 major and 1 minor holiday during fall/winter season
• Manager may request an interview prior to placement
