Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN Flex Pool nurse for a day shift assignment requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience floating between medical and surgical units.
Details
- Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
- Floating includes Medical Unit, Laulima (Surgical Acute) Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
- Medical Unit has 77 beds with ratios of 1:6 days/evenings and 1:8 nights
- Laulima Unit has 18 beds with a 1:6 ratio
- Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds with a 1:4 ratio
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
- 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
- No guarantee of hours
- Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
- 2-10 years of experience required
- Documented proof of immunity required, medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care while floating across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units
- Orientation time provided for each unit
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment
- Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
- Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
