Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool night shift role requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience floating between medical and surgical units.
Details
- Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
- Floating includes Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
- Medical Unit has 77 beds, Laulima (surgical acute) has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
- Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
- 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
- Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
- No guarantee of hours
- Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; may apply upon offer acceptance if not currently licensed
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
- 2-10 years of nursing experience required
- Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted
Additional Information
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for a scheduled appointment
- Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
- Unit-specific orientation and training time provided
- Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
