Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an acute care hospital role requiring a Master's Degree and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Speech Therapy department
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages
- EPIC charting used for documentation
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current BLS certification
- Active SLP license in Illinois (IDFPR) required if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Collects case history information and integrates data from patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals
- Selects and administers appropriate evaluation procedures based on patient needs
- Develops and implements individualized care plans with measurable, achievable goals
- Utilizes standardized outcome measures and instrumental evaluations to assess patient performance
- Modifies treatment approach based on patient behavior and response
- Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Collaborates with medical team and provides family education throughout the rehabilitation process
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
