Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position with day shift hours and no experience required.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion setting within a 27-chair Cancer Center caring for an average of 50 patients per day
• Provides oncology, non-oncology, and supportive treatments
• Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts from 0800-1630
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy Administration Provider Card preferred
• Strong computer systems literacy or ability to be trained
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and treatment coordination for oncology and non-oncology patients
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge processes including patient and family education
• Collaborates closely with an inter-professional care team and delegates tasks appropriately
• Promotes a positive, healing environment while maintaining nursing excellence and evidence-based practice standards
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction and safety monitoring
