Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures for a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required one day per week plus one weekend every 5-6 weeks
• Uses Epic charting system
• Perform diagnostic procedures, PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
• Perform structural heart procedures (TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, Watchman)
• Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS, AFib/Flutter ablations, BIV and pacemaker implants)
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab/EP required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (not both)
• WA state RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Rhythm interpretation skills preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, room circulator duties, and maintaining sterile field as scrub
• Performs arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
• Performs left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Coil embolization experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
