Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures for a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
- Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required one day per week plus one weekend every 5-6 weeks
- Uses Epic charting system
- Perform diagnostic procedures, PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
- Perform structural heart procedures (TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, Watchman)
- Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS, AFib/Flutter ablations, BIV and pacemaker implants)
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab/EP required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (not both)
- WA state RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Rhythm interpretation skills preferred
- Prior travel assignment experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, room circulator duties, and maintaining sterile field as scrub
- Performs arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
- Performs left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, and temporary pacemaker insertion
- Coil embolization experience preferred
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
