Description
American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN with acute care telemetry experience for a varied shift assignment requiring an active HI RN license.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds (3 step-down ICU, 12 telemetry)
- Patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU
- Uses Meditech charting, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation, no guaranteed hours
- No call requirements
- Floating required to all acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, may apply upon acceptance of offer
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year required
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
- Skilled in primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing
Additional Information
- Provide primary nursing care with continuous telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, typically requiring arrival in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start
- Scrubs required as dress code
