Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a high-acuity Respiratory Care stepdown unit requiring 3+ years of critical care experience with ventilator, trauma, and neuro patients.

Details

• High-acuity Respiratory Care stepdown ICU unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating as needed and holiday coverage as needed
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
• Patient ratio of 3:1, up to 4:1 depending on staffing
• Travel pairs will not be considered

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Trauma and neuro experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Care for high-acuity respiratory patients requiring ventilator support in a stepdown ICU setting
• Charge RN, SICU, MICU, trauma, and stroke experience preferred
• Smoke-free facility
• Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools will not be accepted
• Required to complete a Basic Arrhythmia assessment with passing score standards prior to starting first shift
