Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a WI or Compact license and robotics/orthopedic surgical experience for a fast-paced OR position with rotating call requirements.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (0700-1530)
• Heavy focus on robotics, orthopedics, and sports medicine cases
• Also supports urology, gyn, plastics, ENT, eye, podiatry, spine, and neurosurgery cases
• Uses Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for robotic procedures across multiple specialties
• Epic charting system used
• Rotating on-call responsibilities, 2-3 days per week with 2 call teams during the week
• Weekend call rotation covering every 4th-5th weekend with 1 call team for 24 hours
• Call coverage required even if RTO falls on a scheduled call day

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at time of consideration, must be obtained during compliance)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active and in hand
• NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries across gynecologic, orthopedic, urologic, neurological, and GI procedures preferred
• Experience with orthopedic, spine, and general surgery procedures required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and neurosurgery
• Support emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
• Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-4 hours
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 50-mile radius
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Previous travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
