Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level 4 NICU night shift position at a children's hospital, requiring RRT certification and Level 4 NICU experience.

Details

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a children's hospital
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • 36 or 48 hour options available
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required, including 2 of 3 winter holidays
  • Unit uses a self-scheduling model, though desired schedules are not guaranteed
  • Epic EMR experience required for float pool and inpatient units

Requirements

  • Current RRT certification required (must be in-hand, pending not accepted)
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • ACCS certification preferred
  • Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
  • Cardiac PICU experience preferred
  • VA license required; license pending accepted if candidate holds an active license in another state and can obtain a VA temporary license before start
  • License required if applicable
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostic services within a Level 4 NICU setting
  • Work as part of a specialized children's hospital care team
  • 12 months must pass before a former traveler at this facility is eligible to return
  • No radius rule restricting candidate eligibility based on distance
