Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with telemetry experience for a night shift position requiring NC or compact licensure.

Details

Step down unit setting
Full-time schedule with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Every other weekend required
No blocked scheduling permitted
Epic charting system used

Requirements

Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including telemetry experience required
Epic EMR experience required
One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue or Royal Blue
Orientations held bi-weekly
Flu vaccine required with no exemptions during flu season (October 31 - March 31)
Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at a reduced rate

Overtime available, many different types of cases to learn, free parking, some employees are very willing to train when others are not, free food on holidays, generous amount of PTO, up to date systems

Unnecessarily strict policies when sick/injured; doctor notes are not accepted as an “excuse”, micromanagement, unprofessional leadership, bullying, favoritism and unfairness, not willing to train certain people in certain areas or approve certain people’s requests off , heavy workload and constantly being rushed, micromanaged, and distracted by gossip/drama while having to pay attention to detail, not willing to repair/replace certain functions.
