Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for an acute care cardiac catheterization lab, requiring 2+ years of relevant experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit in an acute care setting with 4-6 procedure rooms
- Uses EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
- 5 shifts of 8 hours per 7-day work week, days, 4 days a week from 7am-3:30pm
- Call and some weekend coverage may be required as this is a new service line
- Floating to other units not identified at this time
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab
- Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology
- ARRT or RCIS or exam eligible at time of hire, or CVT with 4 years of cath lab experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-lead EKG interpretation required
- Experience with physiologic monitoring, intra-cardiac pressure waveforms, and pacemaker operations (implantable and external)
- Preferred: 4 years combined cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience, ARRT Advanced Level Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or RCIS
Additional Information
- Provides technical support and assistance to physicians during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
- Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations and vascular/interventional radiology procedures
- Assists in holding area and provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care and instruction
- Prepares and maintains procedural documentation
- Completes service partner orientation on first day onsite plus department-specific orientation, including a one-day general orientation
- Required training modules must be completed prior to starting
- COVID vaccination or declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks
- Scrubs required for dress code
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate
- Previous employment at any facility location must be disclosed for a DNU (Do Not Use) check
