Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, PALS, and an active New York RN license.
Details
- Work in a 25+ bed Emergency Department with additional hallway beds
- Emergency Department serves patients of all ages at a NYS Designated Stroke Center
- Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5
- Shift options include 7p-7a and 3p-3a on a 12-hour schedule
- Requires every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage
- Charge nurse and nurse aide support provided on the unit, though travelers are not assigned charge duties
- RT coverage available 24/7, with hospitalist support on-site
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- No floating requirement
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license in good standing required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Telemetry skills required, including strip reading ability
- Experience with drips and ventilator patients required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to patients of all ages within a stroke center-designated ED
- Unit-specific orientation provided
- Scrub color is not restricted
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
