Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulating RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital's OR Float Pool, requiring 2+ years OR experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work within the OR Float Pool at a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR serving inpatient and outpatient surgeries plus 5 procedural rooms
• Adult patient population only, no pediatrics
• Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro service line assignments
• 12-hour day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, varying days during the week based on unit need
• No block schedule available
• 36 hours per week
• Late stay required, averaging up to four late stays within a 13-week period
• May float between OR units but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• Scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical unit
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays with limited time off approved during the contract
• 26-week contract length only, shorter durations not considered
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
