Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room float pool position requiring a TN or compact license and prior circulating experience.

Details

• Work in the OR Float Pool within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• Position covers a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) and 5 procedural rooms
• Patient population includes all service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro cases
• Handles case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7:00 AM-7:30 PM with variable weekday scheduling
• No block schedule offered as days vary based on unit need
• Late stay required, with up to four late stays expected during a 13-week period
• May float between OR settings but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required, must be on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
• Prior circulating experience required; scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Assignment is 26 weeks only, shorter durations will not be considered
• Limited time off approval, with candidates expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Orientation start dates are fixed to specific weeks
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate under the 75-mile radius rule
