Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating experience in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries with rotating call and weekends.

Details

  • Work in the Operating Room Unit of a hospital setting
  • Variable shift start times (7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM) based on unit need
  • Rotating weekends and holidays required
  • On-call required at least one weekend per month
  • No block scheduling available
  • 30-minute report time expected
  • May float or be reassigned within 30 miles of the originally assigned facility within clinical competence
  • May be included in mandatory overtime rotation as part of the unit staffing pool

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
  • 4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience required
  • Must independently perform circulating duties for ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries
  • Scrub experience highly preferred but not required
  • Experience scrubbing neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedic cases preferred
  • Comfort with DaVinci robotic cases preferred
  • COVID medical or religious exemption accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide circulating and potentially scrubbing support for complex ortho, spine, and neuro surgical cases
  • Scrubs provided by facility
  • Time off requests must be kept to a minimum and approved prior to confirmation
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Radius rate applies within 75 miles
