Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and stat C-section experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Acute care Operating Room setting with 7 surgical suites plus 1 dedicated C-section suite
• Averages 15-25 cases per day
• Common cases include General, ENT, Plastics, Ortho (TSA, THA, TKA, arthroscopies, podiatry, hand), Davinci robotic, urology, GYN, and C-sections
• Uses Cerner EMR, which is transitioning to Epic
• Night shift schedule, Monday-Thursday, 9:30pm-7:30am, 4x10-hour shifts
• Will work holiday gaps and weekend call is possible
• RN will serve as charge nurse overnight
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Possible floating to other surgical care (OSC) areas
• Call response time of 30 minutes required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Stat C-section experience required

Additional Information

• Will shadow a night RN for the first couple of shifts as unit-specific orientation
• Grey scrubs provided by facility; candidates must provide their own OR shoes
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months and require facility approval to return
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
