Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift, weekends-only position requiring charge nurse capability and MN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting treating both adult and pediatric patients
• Combined General Emergency Department with 17 total staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), weekends only
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside the hospital, though floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may occur
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Strong ED experience with charge nurse capability required
• Conscious sedation and triage experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Documents required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency and urgent care nursing to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, psychiatric, pediatric, and neurological cases
• Skills should include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and IV therapy
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
• Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from any prior staff or per diem role before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Fingerprinting is required as part of Minnesota state compliance and must be completed promptly, as start dates depend on receiving results
