Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience with charge nurse and triage capabilities.
Details
- Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting serving both adult and pediatric patients
- 17 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Patient ratio of 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
- Required to work every third weekend
- No on-call responsibilities required
- No floating within scope required, though candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
- Uses Epic for charting
- Navy blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- Strong charge nurse capabilities and experience preferred
- Conscious sedation and triage experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency and urgent care to a wide range of adult and pediatric diagnoses including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric conditions
- Skills utilized may include IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, and management of dysrhythmias
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous travel experience is not required
- Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting
- RTO should be no more than 5 days
- Free parking available in any unrestricted surface lot space
