Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric CVICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least one year of traveler experience and dual Missouri/Kansas or compact licensure.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level I Trauma children's hospital
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• May float to the cardiac med-surg floor to assist with patients
• May also float between the main campus and a sister hospital located in Overland Park, KS
• Uses Epic charting system
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license required, must hold both Missouri and Kansas licenses or a Compact license (pending Kansas license accepted with proof of application for main campus placement)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience required, must be clearly documented in work history
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience required
• Critical care nursing background required
• Must pass a medication/dosage competency test with 100% accuracy within first week (up to 3 attempts allowed)
• Two professional references from supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing support to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus, with nicotine testing conducted
• Scrub colors are flexible and kid-friendly for RNs, any color for RRTs, with scrubs provided for SPT roles
