Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
- 14-week assignment with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Required to work 3 of 5 Winter holidays
Requirements
- Active KY State or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
- ECMO experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
- Experience with care of ventilated patients and ventilator management
- Experience titrating cardiac drips and managing continuous IV sedation
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) preferred
- Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- At least one professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide advanced critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
- Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
- Returning permanent staff must be separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration, as requests submitted afterward will not be approved
