Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma facility, requiring 1+ years of vascular IR experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms, 3 with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE)
• Wide case variety including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
• Daily caseload of 20-30 procedures per tech
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call required, 8-10 call days per month with one Saturday shift per month; 30-minute response time with on-call sleep rooms available
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Cerner EMR preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience required, with vascular experience specifically required
• BLS and ARRT (R and VI) certifications required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• Florida license required (license required if applicable)
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills required in PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies
• Experience required in stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, peripheral and upper/lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic procedures, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
• Prior travel experience required
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designated facility with 615 staffed beds
• Duties include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, EKG lead placement, and vascular closure techniques
• Broad procedural scope covering genitourinary, vascular, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic interventions
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts) prior to start
• Scrub color requirement: black or navy
• COVID-19 vaccination required with medical or religious exemptions accepted
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• No RTO permitted under contract terms
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
