Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PICU RN with active MA licensure and prior travel assignment experience for a night shift contract.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting
• Primarily stationed in PICU with occasional floating to Pediatrics
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Every third weekend required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory monitoring
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Proficient in IV therapy, central line care, and administration of blood products
• Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and emergency medication administration
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the PICU, including ventilator management and emergency medication administration
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG test and Medication exam during orientation
• Complete pre-start and orientation modules as assigned
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, excluding the first week of the assignment
