Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a fast-paced Med/Surg Observation Unit requiring 1 year of travel experience and FL or compact RN licensure.
Details
- 24-bed telemetry Observation Unit functioning as an extension of the Emergency Room
- Short-stay patient population with focus on hypertensive urgency, stroke work-ups, titratable cardiac drips, acute infections, cardiac work-ups, and ESRD
- 12-hour shifts scheduled 06:45-19:15
- 36-48 hour contracts acceptable
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required per unit need
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start
- US Social Security Number and US home address required
Additional Information
- Deliver compassionate, clinically strong nursing care to a short-stay observation population
- Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
- Candidates should discuss extension opportunities with management approximately 45 days before assignment end date
