Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Mixed diagnosis patient population
- Uses Epic EMR
- Equipment includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
- RN reads telemetry, no titration required
- Support staff includes a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
- Day shift schedule, 6:45am-7:15pm
- Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact)
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac management, and dialysis assessment
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provides patient and family education specific to care and discharge needs
- Mentors and precepts staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
