Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification.
Details
- Emergency Department unit with 12 beds
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift staffed with 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary
- Night shift staffed with 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Performs procedures including STEMI, Stroke/TPA, and RSI
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, CPI, and TNCC
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Strong Neuro and Cardiac skills preferred
- High energy, fast-paced environment
- Achieves 12-minute door to needle time for TPA administration
- Recognized for fastest bed assignment time in the Gulf Coast Division
- Preferred scrub color is royal blue, though not required
- No competitor emblems permitted on attire
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
