Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience and a KS or compact RN license.
Details
- Float position within a Level 1 trauma center, floating to the highest-needed unit or facility as directed prior to shift start
- 13-week assignment with shifts scheduled 07:00-19:30
- Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities
- EHR: Cerner OneChart
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- MOAB Moderate Risk de-escalation training required
- Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and two separate references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Float staff will be contacted prior to each shift to confirm floating unit or facility assignment
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
