Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• ICU setting with potential to float to Progressive Care and Medical Surgical units
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 48 hours per week preferred; will consider alternating 36/48 hour schedules
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required, in-hand at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• PALS or ENPC required within 1 year of start date
• PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency in critical care skills including IV therapy, arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP, and airway suctioning required
• Experience managing vasoactive and sedation drips, including continuous IV paralytics and titration of cardiac drips
• Neurological care experience including EVD, ICP monitoring, and stroke/TBI management preferred
• Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction and dysrhythmia management required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across neuro and surgical ICU patient populations
• Must reside within 110 miles of the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
• Two supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
