Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery Nights position requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications and at least 1 year of recent L&D experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
- Provides care across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
- 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Alternating weekend rotation required
Requirements
- Active RN license (MS state or Compact) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
- Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
- Delegates patient care priorities and supervises assigned personnel
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week
