Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for a night shift inpatient acute rehabilitation position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital treating stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic patients
- Night shift schedule with every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Uses IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and automated medication dispensing systems
- Cerner and Epic EHR systems used
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, amputation, and major surgeries within a comprehensive rehabilitation program
- Facility is CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Ideal candidates are problem solvers with strong critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
