Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for a night shift inpatient acute rehabilitation position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital treating stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic patients
  • Night shift schedule with every other weekend required
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Uses IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and automated medication dispensing systems
  • Cerner and Epic EHR systems used

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TX or compact) required
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, amputation, and major surgeries within a comprehensive rehabilitation program
  • Facility is CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
  • Ideal candidates are problem solvers with strong critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel assignment
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
