Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and weekend/call availability.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Circulates and supports multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgery
- 13-week assignment with a 06:30-15:00 shift
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call participation required as scheduled
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ACLS certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Computer proficiency with patient care documentation systems required
Additional Information
- Assesses patient needs through history, observation, and diagnostic data analysis
- Preps operating room and positions patients for procedures
- Completes Safe Surgery checklist verification
- Serves as communication liaison between surgical team and patient families
- Delegates and supervises team members while performing urgent interventions as needed
- Assists with control and maintenance of OR supplies and equipment
- Maintains sterile field responsibilities as assigned
