Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool night shift role requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Flex RN role floating between medical and surgical units
- Floats primarily to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
- Medical Unit has 77 beds, Laulima (Surgical Acute) has 18 beds, Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
- Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (subject to variation)
- Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
- 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation
- No guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; may apply upon acceptance of offer if not currently licensed
- 2-10 years of nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
- Med-Surg Adult and Step Down experience required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units as needed
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, requiring arrival in Hawaii before a Friday morning appointment for a Monday start
- Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity
- Unit-specific orientation and training time provided
- Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs required
