Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring MO or compact RN licensure and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• 36-bed Telemetry unit within the Main Hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:3 AM/1:4 PM or 1:4 AM/1:5 PM with patient care tech support
• Typically total RN-based care with minimal tech support; unit secretaries available 7a-7p
• Uses BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Documentation via Meditech
• Shift schedule is 7a-7p
• Floating required to MedSurg units, with bonus shifts floating first
• Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds practiced on unit

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for Tele placement
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Telemetry required
• Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Experience managing vasoactive drips required
• Experience with Central Line or PICC line placement required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Level 2 Trauma Center with Stroke, STEMI, and Bariatric accreditations
• Designated Education Unit with new cardiac monitors providing in-room rhythm visualization
• Rotating holiday schedule required
• Required uniform: charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms, and black or charcoal grey jackets
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Positive, team-oriented attitude preferred for best unit fit
