Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity stepdown unit requiring NJ or compact RN licensure and prior ICU experience.

Details

• High acuity Surgical/Neuro-Vascular Stepdown Unit (SDU) setting
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating as needed, including to a sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• 1 year of ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for a surgical patient population across pre- and postoperative phases
• Perform comprehensive assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver patient and family education throughout the surgical continuum of care
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation per nursing process standards
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date
