Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and ACLS certification.
Details
- Operating Room/Surgery department within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 4 days per week at 10 hours each
- 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts required
- On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
- Floating to other departments required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Additional Information
- Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the surgical setting
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates outcomes
- Performs point of care testing procedures
- Delegates and coordinates team assignments, adjusting based on patient and unit needs
- Participates in orientation of new staff and students on the unit
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the facility
- Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
