Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and STEMI on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab of a hospital setting
• 4-day, 9.5-hour AM shifts from 7am-5pm, 38 hours per week
• STEMI on-call requirement of 10-12 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends (Friday 5pm-Monday 7am)
• Uses Epic for charting
• May float to a sister hospital as needed

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Provide direct patient care with knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures specific to the cath lab
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure patient education and assessment
• Support timely completion of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques
• Local candidates are accepted
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
