Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Cath Lab setting within the Advanced Vascular unit of a hospital
• Weekday AM shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating to a sister hospital nearby may be required as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience required
• 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with moderate sedation administration and reading cardiac telemetry arrhythmias
• Strong product knowledge of peripheral venous intervention required
• Experience with care and management of fistulas

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver competent clinical care and support emergency procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care and progress
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient assessment and education
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Support timely completion of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
