Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications with charge and precepting responsibilities.
Details
- 18-bed Intermediate Neurosciences & ENT Unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for stroke, tumors, epilepsy, spine injury, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions, neurotrauma, CNS infections, and ENT malignancies
- Includes 4 epilepsy monitoring beds
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
- May be assigned charge role or precepting duties nearly every shift
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Charge and precepting experience preferred
