Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a rehabilitation hospital night shift position requiring 1+ years of experience and Michigan state licensure.
Details
- Rehabilitation hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract length
- Epic EMR system used
- Scope of services includes bronchodilator care, ventilator care, pulmonary hygiene therapy, and airway management
- Performs tracheostomy changes, sleep disorder screening, and Bipap/Cpap therapy
- Conducts diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, and overnight pulse ox studies
- Assists with discharge education and coordination for patients
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), CRT not accepted
- Minimum 1+ years of experience required
- BLS certification required
- NBRC national certification required
- Michigan state RRT license required in hand prior to start
- License required if applicable
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care through patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Develop and follow patient-centered care plans aligned with physician and care team priorities
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
