Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring an IN or compact RN license and prior cath lab experience.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, including Interventional Radiology and Pre/Post Procedure areas
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call required approximately one evening per week and every 4th weekend with a 30-minute response time
- Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Performs cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterization and PCI
- Performs EP procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
- Performs TAVR, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, and vascular studies/procedures
- Cerner charting system used
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required, though 1.5 years may be considered
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line insertion/management, and implanted port care
- Experience with central venous access, PICC, and port placement
- Experience with dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventional procedures
- RN must have graduated from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for cardiac and EP procedures and administering/monitoring procedural sedation
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Local IN residents are accepted at a lower pay rate for this position
- Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility (3 months for out-of-state residents, 6 months for in-state residents)
