Description

American Traveler is hiring a PET/MR Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a role in Nuclear Medicine/Radiology at a teaching hospital.

Details

  • PET/MR imaging role within a Nuclear Medicine/Radiology department
  • Adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, ER/trauma, and outpatient patient populations
  • Performs abdominal, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI studies
  • Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment along with PACS
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Day shift schedule, 0800-1630, with options for 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour shifts
  • May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience required
  • ARRT (MR) certification required; License required if applicable
  • ARMRIT certification required
  • ACLS and BLS certification required (AHA Traditional accepted; RQI not accepted)
  • Nuc Med credential preferred (ARRT-N, NMTCB/CNMT)
  • ARRT (R) certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and radiation safety preferred
  • Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
  • Copies of certifications and proof of COVID vaccination required for consideration (no exemptions)
  • Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Perform PET/MR imaging studies across a wide range of anatomical regions and specialized procedures
  • Work within a large academic teaching hospital setting
  • Only one RTO request allowed, and it must be submitted upfront with no more than 2 weeks requested
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
  • Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must have been separated for at least 6 months to be eligible to return
  • Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on position specifics
