Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring cath lab experience and call coverage for STEMI or vascular cases.
Details
- Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- 36 hours per week on 4x10 day shift schedule (7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
- On-call requirement of 8-12 days per month for STEMI or vascular cases
- Floating to similar units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; RCIS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Skilled in cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and PA line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Scrub procedure and medication administration/monitoring skills preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiac cath lab setting including circulating and scrub procedures
- Complete onsite orientation modules (approximately 4-6 hours for RNs)
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- No more than 4 days of RTO can be auto-approved at time of submission
